CK Group is pleased to announce that it has officially signed Skeleton Olympic hopeful Skyler Bakker.
Skyler wanted to work with a Sports Management Firm that understood his needs and was willing to think outside the box to help him achieve his professional athlete goals. After many offers he requested an invitation from the CK Sports Management.
When the invitation came, Skyler said “CK's evaluation process was tough. So I was surprised that I got an invitation to join CK, because I know they do not take everyone who requests one.” " Once I signed with them I was so happy that I posted it to my Facebook account."
Skyler was invited by US National Developmental Coaches to come train at a camp being held at the Olympic training center in Lake Placid NY.
US National Developmental Coaches usually do not start looking at athletes until they are 27 or 28 years old. Skyler is 22 he is the youngest athlete currently being considered in the Skeleton by US National Developmental Coaches for an eventual spot on the National Team.
Out of every athlete the US National Developmental Coaches invited that year they only invited 5 back Skyler was invited back.
After Lake placid he received a call from a representative from the International Olympic Committee, she invited him to train in Park City Utah at the Olympic Training facility there. This path hopefully will lead Skyler to make the US National Team and eventually the US Olympic Team.
In working with CK Sports Management he will maximize his potential for the dream of an Olympic run and joining the US Olympic team. His Agent at CK is currently working with several sponsors who wish to sign him as soon as possible.
