CK Talent, a top 5 International Talent Agency and Remark Entertainment have announced they will work together to drive growth in Asia. The arrangement will help fast track CK’s expansion into Asia, starting with the China market. Remark will benefit via representing CK’s growing talent roster in China. Remark will also provide social media services to some of the agency’s talent which will add to the 70 celebrity social media accounts with a combined in market following of 40 million.
Remark made the news recently when it closed a major deal with Jason Statham and Saleen Automotive. Remark’s clients and partners include: IMAX, Coke, Red Bull, Cadillac, Universal Studios, Paramount, Warner Bros, Emmy’s, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards and the American Music Awards to name a few.
CK Talent has a history of driving growth via acquisition – this represents a different strategic approach to penetrate a new market. Remark has had a presence in China for over 6 years and is experiencing significant growth in aligning Chinese brands with major Western talent. Remark will work with CK through their presence in Shanghai, Los Angeles and New York.
“To effectively grow in China one really needs an in market presence. Very few of the lead talent agencies have that. That is what we offer CK. We were naturally receptive to aligning with CK, who is a recognized brand in the talent management space where we see sustainable growth. We anticipate the partnership will be one of long term benefit to both companies” said Remark’s David Bonthrone, President, Remark Entertainment
“We look forward to working with David and his team to represent our talent’s interest in Asia Pacific. This is an area of the world that few have the expertise to navigate. Remark has a long track record in the region negotiating some of Hollywood’s major brand and endorsement deals. Remark runs their operations with integrity, which fits seamlessly into how we run our Agency. We are excited to be working with their team as well as having them represent our talent and agency’s interests in the region,” said Craig Rogalski, Managing Partner, CK Talent Management, Inc.
